Deforestation has HUGE impacts on greenhouse gas emissions. The massive scale clearing of dense rain forests results carbon dioxide emissions as forest is typically burned for cheap clearing for cattle grazing and monocrop plantations. The problem is two-fold as the lost forest space no longer has the same carbon sequestration capacity after deforestation. The infographic below shows just some of the tools used to clear vital forests.
