Heard of palm oil? Read the ingredient list of your toothpaste, hand wash, or any other personal product. It’s also is many processed foods. This product ingredient is almost everywhere. Why? It’s inexpensive and dependable. That’s the good, the bad is that the high demand for palm oil is becoming a growing contribution to the deforestation problem. Click Here to read more about this environmental epidemic on the rise. What can you do? Avoid or limit your use of palm oil. It will take some effort on your part to read product labels, but it’s worth it.

Slash-and-burn is most common method of clearing rain forests for palm oil production.
